80th & Lextures Presents: Loving Kindness & Embodied Spiritual Practice

Join us on Sunday, May 8th from 2-3:30 via Zoom for a co-created service to observe a spring convergence of holidays, holy days and seasonal happenings, with guest E.N. Hill, Minister of Dare to Bless the Love Sanctuary.
A theme often emerges when mindfully considering the intersections of holidays, holy days, and seasonal happenings. The 8th of May is Mother’s Day and falls in the Bahai month of Jamal (Beauty) and in the Islamic month of Shawwal (Reward). We will engage the theme of Loving Kindness together by honoring and exploring the sacred teacher we all share – the human body.
Participants will be invited to offer their unique embodied wisdom and Divine understandings as we grapple with questions and spiritual practices, weaving a co-created “sermon” together by sharing the insights, awareness, and Love intelligence revealed to us, individually and collectively. Please bring a candle, a bite of food, and something to write with – as you are guided by your heart.
E.N. Hill is a military veteran, social justice activist, spoken word artist, and a UU minister working to become an Army Chaplain. They graduated from Starr King School for the Ministry in 2020, completed parish internship in Ottawa, Canada in 2021, and was welcomed into preliminary fellowship in March 2022. E.N. currently lives in Tallahassee with their family and recently accepted a position as a chaplain in residence at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Additionally, E.N. serves as a guest speaker and ritualist in various spiritual settings and hopes to become an affiliated community minister with their local UU congregation. Sometime in the near future, E.N. intends to publish an anthology of poetry and short stories detailing their mystical journey through seminary.
The format of this offering was crafted by Rev. Amelia Mu’mina Marie, founder of Dare to Bless the Love (DBL) Online Sanctuary. Each Sunday, ministers of DBL facilitate worship experiences in the same general flow or structure.
