Beauty as Companion to Bitter
Rev. Karen will explore how we might allow art and natural beauty help us face toward hard things. Rev. Karen visits us regularly—she recently led programs on Regret and Aging. She is the Settled Minister at The Unitarian Society in East Brunswick, NJ. She has been a practicing meditator for something like 20 years and began giving occasional instruction a decade ago. She swims in the Insight Meditation stream of Buddhism, her primary spiritual practice is befriending death, and is the founder of Date with Death Club, a forum for exploring mortality in community.
