Love and Unity: The Seven Principles as Pillars of our Unitarian Universalist Faith

The Rev. Dr. Barbara Wells ten Hove will explore the powerful theological underpinnings of our particular yet universal religion, Unitarian Universalism. Looking at the First and Seventh Principles, she posits that they are theological “pillars” that hold up the many ways we are called to act upon them in the world.

The Rev. Dr. Barbara Wells ten Hove is a “homebred” UU who started her ministry in  1985 and has served congregations in Washington, Colorado, Maryland, and British Columbia. She and her husband Jaco retired in 2017 as Emeritus Ministers from Cedars UU Church on Bainbridge Island, WA. While her focus in ministry was on worship and UU evangelism, in retirement she preaches, writes, sings, volunteers at Hospice and does “noble chores” at her Co-housing community.
