Open the Way to the Heart with Mary Reilly
Breath awareness returns us to what is essential and leads us home to the peace and joy at the core of our existence. With examples from the Biblical, Vedic, Buddhist, and Tantric texts we will learn a variety of breath techniques that enhance prayer and meditation practices as well as enrich our experience of life in the world.
“Breathing is a natural way to the heart. And so, having collected your mind within you, lead it into the channel of breathing through which air reaches the heart, and cause your mind to descend into the heart and to remain there.”
– Nikephoros the Solitary, 13th Century
