Trent Johnson, Organist & Assistant Music Director
Trent Johnson is an organist, pianist, composer and conductor. He is the Music Director and conductor of the Oratorio Singers of Westfield, New Jersey and is an organist at Radio City Music Hall in New York City where he plays the “Mighty Wurlitzer” organ for the Christmas Spectacular Show. He is a graduate of the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and The Juilliard School.
As a composer, he has written numerous works for chorus and orchestra, for orchestra, concertos, chamber music, song cycles, piano works, organ pieces and a full-length opera, entitled Kenyatta. Mr. Johnson is the recipient of grants from Meet the Composer, funding from the NEA, and is the recipient of the Wladimir and Rhoda Lakond Award in composition from the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York City.

Bryan McNamara, Music Administrator
Bryan McNamara began making music at age 6 in an upstate New York church handbell choir. The saxophone came next at age 10. 19 years later, he is a versatile and joyful musician, educator, and administrator (though he does miss the handbells).

Cecily Millen, Director of Growth
Cecily oversees fundraising, membership and external communications at All Souls. Prior to her crossover to the non-profit sector as Membership and Development Manager at Grace Church in New York, Cecily worked in advertising, marketing and communications, beginning her career in the Mayor of the City of New York’s office, and working in sales and account management at advertising agencies and a cable network.

Nadira Shiwram-Singh, Director of Finance and Administration
Hello, I am the Director of Finance and Administration. My name is Nadira Shiwram-Singh. I am a mother of three beautiful children who have taught me many skills for this position. Academically however, I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration.

Maurice Spivey, Facilities Manager
Maurice joined All Souls full time in 2013. Previously he had worked for a dozen years as a Maintenance Supervisor and porter. Prior to that he served in the U.S. Army for three years.

Cynthia Brown, Finance and HR Manager
Cynthia has been at All Souls since August 2016. She was born and bred in the Mississippi Delta. She has her Master’s degree in Non-Profit Management from Northeastern University in Boston. In her spare time, Cynthia enjoys reading and travelling.

Robert Wohner, Membership and Administrative Assistant
Robert was raised in Queens and lives in Bedstuy, Brooklyn. He cherishes each chance to share the warmth and community of All Souls with his fellow New Yorkers and spiritual seekers. He joined All Souls in 2019.

Cristian Martinez, Accounts Receivable
Cristian comes to us with over 14 years experience as a Tax Accountant. He specializes in the preparation of individual, small business corporations and partnership returns. Cristian also has over 17 years in not-for-profit organizations. He worked at Auburn Theological Seminary as Registrar for Educational Programs and Database Administration.
Reception

Nancy Blair, Receptionist
After being a stay-at-home parent, Nancy joined All Souls part time in 2019 and became full time in 2020. She previously edited and created computer-industry publications. She watches Jeopardy nightly.

Elboney Brown, Receptionist
Elboney is an Upper-East Side mom of three who has worked part time at All Souls since 2013. She has an Associate’s degree in Applied Sciences. She loves to read nonfiction and binge on fun internet research.

Colin Wulff, Receptionist
Colin is an actor who has appeared in film and TV productions such as Madam Secretary and FBI: Most Wanted. In addition he performs in NYC and Regional Theater productions. He has worked part time at All Souls for several years.

Robert Reyes, Maintenance Staff
Robert joined All Souls full time in 2014. He enjoys his job.

Hing Yuen Kwan, Maintenance Staff
Yuen was born in Macau and moved to Hong Kong at age three. In 2001 he came to the US. He joined All Souls part time in 2003 and became full time in 2004. He likes British Soccer, camping, basketball and BBQ. His favorite trip was to Phuket Island in Thailand.

Robert Gooden, Maintenance Staff
Robert joined All Souls full time in 2015. He has an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology. He enjoys working at All Souls.

Maverick Mackey, Maintenance Staff
In February 2020, Maverick joined All Souls part time. He is a huge sports fan who loves playing pool and spending time with his family.
Our Elected Leaders - the All Souls Board

Julie Brannan, President
Julie Brannan has been a member of All Souls since 1989, and was previously on the Board of Trustees from 1998-2001, serving as President from 2000-2001. She has served on the board again since 2016, and as President since 2018. A Deacon since 2001, Julie is particularly involved in the music program, but has served in the past in budgetary, fund raising, and adult education arenas as well.
Julie holds a Ph.D. in Biopsychology and is a former faculty member at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She was the Executive Director of Musica Viva from 2005-2014. She is currently a residential associate real estate broker with Compass. Julie enjoys travel, the New York theater scene, the arts, her three daughters and walking through Central Park whenever possible.

Heidi DuBois, First Vice President
Heidi DuBois is an environmental, social and governance (ESG) expert with two decades of experience in the legal, corporate governance and sustainability areas. Heidi has advised numerous companies on ESG strategy, execution and reporting; engagement with investors and other stakeholders; and partnerships with NGOs and civil society organizations to advance ESG objectives.
for BNY Mellon and was instrumental in redesigning the firm’s approach to ESG reporting and communications, as well as executing partnerships with external stakeholders, including the United Nations Foundation. She also co-authored reports on the opportunities inherent in gender-lens investing, one of which launched at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Earlier in her career, Heidi practiced law at Debevoise & Plimpton before serving in positions of increasing responsibility in governance and sustainability at Assurant and PepsiCo. She helped establish the Berkeley Sustainable Business and Investment Forum, focusing on evolving concepts of risk management, capital allocation, and sustainable business practices as contributors to long-term value creation.
Heidi holds an A.B. from Harvard College and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. She serves on the Advisory Boards of the Business in Society Institute at Berkeley Law School and the GreenBiz GreenFin Summit. She is a past member of the Aspen Institute Business and Society Leaders Forum, a past president of the New York chapter of the Society for Corporate
Governance, and serves as a Trustee for the Unitarian Church of All Souls.
Heidi resides in New York City with her husband and daughter.

CORY LABANOW
Second Vice President
Cory Labanow has been a member of All Souls since 2006 and been involved in a variety of activities, most notably with helping to lead the young adult groups for six and a half years and serving as Co-Chair of the Search Committee for the All Souls Associate Minister.

Ramsey Shehadeh, Board Member
Ramsey Shehadeh was elected as a Trustee in 2017. He serves on the Audit Committee and the Finance Committee. He also has participated as a co-chair of the Capital Campaign and as visitor for the Capital Campaign. Ramsey is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist and began attending All Souls with his family in 2007. He has been a member of All Souls since 2009.

David Poppe, Board Member
David Poppe is the president of the investment advisory firm Giverny Capital Asset Management, LLC. He formerly was CEO of the investment management firm Ruane, Cunniff & Goldfarb, LLC. From 2006 until the end of 2018, he was a co-manager and director of the firm’s flagship, the Sequoia Fund. He is a director of Central Securities Corp.
A member of All Souls since 2008, David is a former co-chair of the Religious Education Parents’ Association. He was a co-chair of the All Souls’ Capital Campaign and serves on the church’s Finance and Investment Committees. He serves on the New York Advisory Board for the Trust for Public Land.

Lynne Randall, Board Member
Lynne Randall is Director of Development at Manhattan Theatre Club, one of the nation’s leading not-for-profit theatres, where she is responsible for all aspects of both annual and capital fundraising. Prior to MTC, she spent six years at the New York Philharmonic as Director of Corporate Sponsorship and Institutional Giving.
Lynne has been a member of All Souls since 1995, and joined the Board of Trustees in February 2020. Previously, she has served on the Investment, Development and Annual Giving committees. She is also on the board of directors of Young Audiences New York, a non-profit arts education organization, and was formerly a trustee of Second Stage Theatre. She earned her B.A. in Theatre and Communications from the University of New Hampshire and an M.B.A. in Finance and M.S. in Communications from Boston University. Lynne and her husband live in New York City.

JUDITH MOLDOVER
Board Member
Judith Moldover has been a member of All Souls since 2009. A Senior Staff Attorney at Lawyers Alliance for New York, she leads Lawyers Alliance’s Community Arts program area to provide legal assistance to nonprofit arts organizations serving low-income New Yorkers.

As an arts executive, composer, and writer, Ed Harsh has dedicated his career to serving music—and especially new music—in the United States.
As an arts executive, composer, and writer, Ed Harsh has dedicated his career to serving music—and especially new music—in the United States. In his eleven years as President and CEO of New Music USA, he oversaw a transformational merger that brought together two venerable service organizations, Meet The Composer and the American Music Center, giving new life to their shared mission. His current efforts center on composer Kurt Weill, whose work figures both as the lens for Ed’s book project on new music theater and as the focus of his advocacy in his role as Director of Strategic Initiatives of the Kurt Weill Foundation for Music.
Ed has attended All Souls since 1997 and been a member since 2009. Ed served as Co-Chair of the Music Director Search Committee that brought Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez to All Souls. His service to the church has also included membership on the Capital Campaign Steering Committee, facilitation of the Vision 2020 Strategic Planning process, and Co-Chairing of the Religious Education Committee and Parents Association. He is married to Margaret Kampmeier and their son, Andrew, completed the Coming of Age program at All Souls in 2016.

Jeff Friedlander, Clerk of the Society
Jeff Friedlander was the longest serving First Assistant Corporation Counsel in the history of the City of New York, second-in-command of the New York City Law Department, an office of over 700 attorneys representing the City.
Mr. Friedlander authored a column on “Municipal Law” that appeared regularly in he New York Law Journal for a decade. He is active in the City Bar and has been the recipient of a number of awards for his legal service to the City.

Elizabeth Wahab, Treasurer
Elizabeth Wahab is the Chief Operating Officer at Cornell Capital. She previously worked at Viking Global Investors from 2012-2017 as Head of Investor Relations, Human Resources and the Viking Global Foundation. Prior to that she spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs in the firm’s private equity and investment banking groups.

Carol Kirkman, Secretary
Carol Kirkman has been a member of All Souls since 2004. She served six years on the Board of Trustees, as President in 2016 and four years as First Vice President, where she focused on church governance and finance. Carol is a member of the Women’s Alliance, participates as a Deacon, serves on the Audit Committee, and participates in the church’s climate justice work.

Winifred Olsen, Assistant Secretary
Winifred Olsen worked for more than twenty years at the Japanese Mission to the United Nations as speech editor, writer, translator, and now does occasional free-lance editing of scholarly works relating to Japanese history and literature. She graduated with a BA from Beaver College (now Arcadia University) and an M.A. from Columbia University in modern Japanese studies.
At All Souls, she co-founded and was a leader for four years of its Brownie Girl Scout troop; is on the boards of Musica Viva and the Annie Eaton Society; is a member of the Deacons; and has served as Secretary of the Board of Trustees from 2001 to 2005 and from 2011 to present.
Winnie spends the summer and early fall months in Rowland, PA, where she volunteers with The Lackawaxen River Conservancy and the Delaware Riverkeeper Network, reflecting her passion for the protection of the earth and its resources, and the “interdependent web of all existence, of which we are a part.”

Erika Mikkelsen Halford, Assistant Secretary
Erika Mikkelsen Halford is the Associate General Counsel of Consumer Reports, the non-profit product testing and consumer advocacy organization and publisher of Consumer Reports magazine. Before joining Consumer Reports in 2006, Erika was an associate from 2000-2006 at the law firm of Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler in New York City.
Erika is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist. She has been a member of All Souls since 2001 and has volunteered as the All Souls Board of Trustees Assistant Secretary since 2008. Erika and her husband, Michael Halford, whom she married at All Souls in 2007, live in New York City with their daughter and son. Their daughter participates in the All Souls RE Program.
